Charlestown Pizza King recently reopened after being empty for a very long time. Rick Kohler and Todd Fabel leased the building and undertook a total overhaul in a renovation that took almost 4 months. New ovens, ordered from Florida, have a stone base and are designed especially to work with Pizza King dough. They would like to thank the community for their assistance and support in helping them get finished on time, especially building owner John Wood and Rick Andres of Western Auto, who brought over a fork lift to help unload things, and Tony Jackson from the City, who was always able to answer questions and provided wise counsel.
Rick and Todd report that their biggest problem so far has been keeping enough food in stock to allow them to stay open as late as they would like. The business has been non-stop, the reception has been as warm as the ovens, and their 12 employees are kept very busy! They express their thanks to Charlestown and manager Vickie Clark says she looks forward to serving a LOT of food at Charlestown Pizza King.
